Design and implementation of car access systems based on ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology
One of the most popular car access systems developed by TotalSoft on ANPR technology was implemented at Damen Galati Shipyard. The technical solution allows vehicles the access in the shipyard provided that their car plate number is optically recognized from a wide access database.
Main features:
The system provides video monitoring of vehicles that come into/get out of a closed parking, and can also be used as a payroll-timesheet system for car drivers.
The access barriers when entering/getting out of the parking area are automatically activated when the car plate number is optically recognized in a database and in an access list.
The system stores the movies on all events or access routes and provides the possibility to review them;
Checking and allowing access have a recognition performance of 99%.
