Until 2008, Farmexpert used a simple accounting software application which was quite restrictive in terms of functionalities. In the context of an accelerated business development, growing number of products and the company’s nationwide expansion, it was necessary to centralize the activity using an integrated software solution. For the distribution management, the company had already been using for 2 years a dedicated solution, developed by TotalSoft and capable of supporting the growth.
“If we look at Farmexpert’s evolution, its position on the market, it is obvious that we needed a strong ERP solution sustaining all the business initiatives. Given the importance of the software infrastructure in relation with our business processes, the decision to implement Charisma ERP came naturally”,tells Mrs. Cătălina Văcăroiu, IT Director, Farmexpert.
Initially, Charisma ERP took over the data regarding the financial, accounting, purchasing, sales and inventory activities into a unique database, to enable an integrated management and a more facile tracking of the commercial activity. The contract management module was also important for Farmexpert. The module was used to manage the contracts with the hospitals and to track the drug distribution to this type of beneficiary. The application tracks the entire flow, from request registration to offers, sales, contracting and delivery.

In order to keep pace with the technical evolution and permanently streamline the internal processes, the company decided to integrate the mobile terminals in a system, namely to upgrade the Warehouse Management System module in order to the product scanning and inventory based on bar codes.
